Evidemment elle est en Anglais. Comme tout le monde maitrise l'anglais, c'est bon !
L'ordre est complètement aléatoire.
- You can pick up and stop the bus where you want.
- People can sell things on the street.
- You can buy illegal DVD for 1$.
- At each stop light, you have a little show (Juggling, clowns, stitts) then they ask for money.
- Some people ask you if you want drugs when you pass by them.
- There are many potholes in the road.
- At night, you don't care about stop lights, just go slowly and honk.
- There are many little shops everywhere.
- There are school uniforms.
- Some school start at 7am, other at 7.40 am and we are over at 2pm.
- You must leave the door of your room open (except when you're sleeping). If it's close they will ask you if everything is okay many times.
- Most of the ecuadorians have, or a Blackberry, or a rally basic cell phone(Nokia 3310, 5070)
- We've to pay for the paper given by the teacher.
- You can easily count on being robbed at least once
- 5 pm doesn't mean at 5 but somewhere between 5.30 and 7pm (If you're lucky)
- Some laws are strange: You can't smoke in the car if there is a kids in the car , or , if you steal something less than 600$, you can't go to jail.
- Boys are small , 1m70.
- A trip of 300km takes at least 9 hours.
- The girls put make up in class.
- The party/disco starts at 9-10pm and are over at 1-2am.
- There is a law abouth alcohol in bars. The week, you can buy and drink alcohol until 0am. The Friday night you can buy it until 1am and drink until 2am. The Saturday night, you can buy it until 2am and drink until 3am. The Sunday you can't buy and drink alcohol.
- You need more than 1 hour on Friday evening to find a taxi.
- In Quito, all the year, the temperature is >15 the morning and >25 the afternoon. (It's warmer or similar in the other town)
- In quito, it never rains the morning, only at the end of the afternoon, about 4-5pm.
- When you visit something, there are 2 prices, one for the Ecuadorian, one for the people from foreign country (almost twice more)
- Most of the time, we eat starches.
- You can have 90 in a normal bus.
- Most of the time, we don't have normal school day, because we have a reunion, a civic moment, a missed teacher.
- There are barres on each windows.
- There are bottles of 3 Liters of Cola for 1.60$ (1.30€)
- They eat cold soap with Banana.
- If you take a cup tea, they think you are sick.
- They put crushed chips on the hot-dog.
- Milk, Juice, shampoo...are in a plastic bag.
- They don't listen the music really loud in the car.
- Lunch is the main meal.
- They live at home when attending university, and often will not move out until they get married.
- They call teachers by their first names.
- The Ketchup, Colas are really sweet.
- The students are really friendly with the teacher, Hug, Joke...
- In Quito, there is a law, Pico y Placa. It depends the last number of your immatriculation but one day in the week you can't use the car. If it ends with 1-2 , it's Monday, 3-4, Tuesday...
- In the last 50 years, Ecuador had 26 presidents.
- After 8pm, the cabs don't use Taxi-meter, you have to negociate the price.
- When you subscribe to a plan of 10$ for cell phone, you have 250 minutes.
- There are not belts in the backsits.
- Each day, you an have a piece of pizza at school for 1$.
- Basic things (foods...) are cheap. Technologic things(computer, camera...) are expansive.
- The national sport is football, then BasketBall and Ecuadorian Volleyball (3 vs 3).
- Planes pass so close over the school, and we often have to stop class because of the noise.
- Teachers interrupt class to answer phone.
- They are no trash cans, just throw the plastic bag in the orad, at the place you are used to, so it makes a hill.
- In the mall you have to take your paper outside of the toilet and then throw it in a trash can.
- In some school, you have to bring your toilet paper.
- The family is really important, family dinner, family week-end.
- When they count citizens in Ecuador, all the country is "dead". You can't leave your house. There are no taxis, no bus, no super market.
